Before the Dehydration
This Regency-style rectory in the heart of a friendly Devon village dating back 1812 has been converted into a charming B&B. The west wing of the Old Vicarage has been converted into a self-contained holiday cottage accommodating 6 people.
Rising damp has been affecting the B&B for quite some time. Previous patch repairs did not solve the problem, the salts have damaged the plaster every few years, especially in the service areas which had been decorated with plaster instead of plasterboard. The problem has been finally addressed with the installation of one Aquapol system, which covers the whole building.
